AK74 assault rifle -information excerpted from Wikipiedia.org
The AK-74 (Russian: 'Автомат Калашникова образца 1974 года' or
'"Kalashnikov automatic rifle model 1974"') is an assault rifle
developed in the early 1970s in the Soviet Union as the replacement for the
earlier AKM (itself a refined version of the AK-47). It uses a smaller
intermediate cartridge, the 5.45×39mm, replacing the 7.62×39mm chambering of
earlier Kalashnikov-pattern weapons.
The
rifle first saw service with Soviet forces engaged in the 1979 Afghanistan
conflict. Presently, the rifle continues to be used by the majority of
countries of the former USSR. Additionally, unlicensed copies were produced in
Bulgaria (AK-74 and AKS-74U), the former East Germany (MPi-AK-74N, MPi-AKS-74N,
MPi-AKS-74NK) and Romania (PA md. 86). Besides former Soviet republics and
eastern European countries, Mongolia, North Korean Special Forces, and
Vietnamese People's Naval infantry use AK-74s.
Beta
Project Tactical AK replica
Beta Project Tactical AK
replica is made, with the utmost attention to detail and precision, from steel,
metal and ABS. The
whole body of the airsoft gun along with the receiver cover, selector lever, flash
suppressor and most of other small parts, are made from steel. A uniform
zinc-aluminum alloy was used to manufacture the RIS rail set which nearly covers
the entire length of the barrel of the airsoft gun, the stock tube, the outer
barrel, iron sights, and some other minor elements.
The Beta Project's product combines the reliability and stability of the
classic AK design with modern solutions applied by the NATO states and the
“ahead of their time" enhancements made by MAGPUL Company that will help
you change the opinion about the way of conducting activities: Now it is no
longer the operator who has to adjust to his or her tools; it is the tool that
has to be fully adjusted to the operator.
For this reason, this sand-colored airsoft gun has been fitted with Magpul
products, thus increasing its maneuverability, functionality and ergonomics. These amenities
include multi-position, adjustable CTR type buttstock. Another improvement is the magazine
modeled on the Magpul products. The magazine has a non-slip texture and is
equipped with a removable pad - it is possible to use the flat pad included in
the set, as well as optional ones - provided with a grip to facilitate drawing
the magazine from the pouch.
Another, very important - if not the most important – amenity is a set
of RIS rails that cover the whole front of the airsoft gun. Thanks to their
application, it became possible to attach to the airsoft gun almost any
additional equipment that is compatible with the RIS standard. The list is long,
starting from the front grips, through laser gun sights, tactical flashlights, red
dot sights and scopes, even up to detachable 40 mm grenade launchers.
The last, rare, and therefore worth mentioning, element is an ambidextrous
charging handle. Undeniably,
in the case of an airsoft gun it is just an addition, rather than an element
genuinely usable – however, still, it adds the airsoft gun more
"character", allowing it to further differentiate itself from other airsoft
guns of the AK family. The exchangeable pistol grip is also a worth noting
element. Aside
from the standard grip mounted on the airsoft gun in stock, you can also use a
M249 grip that is included in the set.
Internally the quality of the airsoft gun does not differ from its
superb external workmanship. The replica is equipped with a sturdy and with a
well-deserved reputation v.3 gearbox that ensures long and reliable operation. An adjustable
Hop-Up system, which considerably extends the trajectory of BBs, is also
mounted in here. All
this, combined with the M130 main spring that enables generating the initial
muzzle velocity of approximately 420 FPS, allowed obtaining a significant
effective range and power, which should both be considered as optimal in the
case of an assault rifle airsoft gun.
The set includes:
- the airsoft gun - a magazine with exchangeable base pad - and exchangeable pistol grip

Velocity [FPS]
It is the spped of bb, while its leaving the innerbarrel of replica. This speed is measured in FPS (Feet Per Second).
1 FPS = 0,3 m/s
1 J = 99 m/s
1 J = 326,7 FPS

Propultion
Replicas have spring, electric or gas propultion. Spring models need to
reload after each shot (pull back the lock) to enter the ball into the
chamber. At the same time it pulls spring back, to be able to
give a shot. Electric replicas depends on the battery,
whereby the engine drives the whole gearbox, and a gas models, push
the BB by gas, which loads in magazine (in these replicas ther is
not spring).

Gearbox version
Indications v2, v3, v6 does not mean the level of advance, but only
shape of gearbox skeleton which was used and selected by the
manufacturer
depending on the capabilities of the body of the replica. For example,
a
models of the M4/M16 family, MP5, have a v2 gearbox, while the AK
family have gearbox v3.

Lenght [mm]
The
length of the replca is measured between the two most distant points of

Hop-Up
Hop-Uup system is used for overclocking bb during the shot (putting
it in rotation), through which, it extends its flight
path. Acting laws of physics make that bb lift up,
while the gravitational force take it down. Appropriate
adjustment of Hop-Up, will compensate for these two factors, which
result in long and straight flight for longer distance and be greater focus shot (to improve accuracy).
Power of all presented replicas is less than 2 [J]. You cannot buy a replica in our shop if you are under 18. Do not shoot at other persons, birds or animals.
