Metal hop up chamber
The metal made complete Hop-Up chamber is designed for the M4/M16 type replicas. Along the chamber, the set includes the parts necessary to mount the chamber in the replica.
The Hop-Up system is a system that makes the BB pellets which are shot by airsoft replicas spin. It uses the Magnus’ Effect in order to flatten the trajectory of the moving bullet and, at the same time, makes it similar to the trajectory of a real firearm’s bullet.
In reality, this is a properly formed rubber or silicone seal which by touching the propelled projectile make it spin. The easiest way to explain the Hop-Up system’s operation is by saying that the spinning BB pellets has got a greater air friction from one side thanks to which is may turn. When the spin takes place in the horizontal axis, than the BB pellet will turn upwards and, therefore, recompense gravity.
The Hop-Up rubber’s friction force for the BB pellets determines how big is the spin and, what is followed by it, the power of climbing. The heavier BB peller we use, the greater must be the rubber’s pressure ( whilst the heavier BB pellet has got a smaller inertia and falls more quickly ). This also works the other way around – when a light BB pellet will be spinning too much it will go above the target.
