V.3 complete gearbox
A complete gearbox designed for use with AK type replicas. When designing the E&L engineers used best existing solutions and added few of their own as well. The set includes ELM120 Standard motor. The bearings structure is interesting and thoughtful – the first two gears are set on ball bearings but piston gear is set on a slide bearing. It allows for smaller tensions in gears working with higher torque and decreases possibility of malfunction of the piston gear, which is working with greatest tensions.
The piston pipe is removed in greater part, which minimally affects stability but greatly decreases tension. These two solutions result in higher work culture of the system, higher ROF and lower power usage.
The pneumatic system consists of silent piston and cylinder heads, which increases longevity by better amortization. The spring guide is fitted with bearing and the piston gear has larger delayer. It provides the bb with longer time for chambering, which is important in systems with increased rate of fire.
The gearbox comes with M130 spring in standard configuration, which allows for muzzle velocity of ~430FPS. Stronger springs like M150 and M170 were used by the manufacturer for evaluation of the actual durability of the gearbox. The base test conducted had 20000 BBs fired on the M150 spring which resulted in minimal part wear. It shows that using stock M130 spring the risk of using warranty is minimal.
