Octarms M4-KM15 Assault Rifle Replica
The Octarms series of replicas by Ares/Amoeba is based on a well-known design of AR assault rifles. However, these replicas were appropriately modified and upgraded with many construction details and interesting technological solutions, which increase not only their functionality but also visual appearance.
The receiver of the replica was made from a reinforced nylon. The quality of materials used makes it difficult to notice straight away that it is in fact polymer not metal. Receiver boasts effective in appearance markings, among other, of model, individual serial number and Octarms logo. Metal was used in the manufacture of the outer barrel, effectively looking flash hider and several miscellaneous elements. The pistol grip is adequately profiled and covered with a rough, anti-slip texture that increases comfort and steadiness of the grip. Steel elements include small parts most vulnerable to stress - stock mount ring, tactical sling swivel, all the pins and screws as well as shell ejection port plate.
The replica has a light, polymer stock, whose length can be adjusted and which stores a battery. Access to the Hop-Up regulation knob is gained in a traditional way in this type of construction - by pulling back the charging handle and uncovering the shell ejection port.
KM15 has a top, 22mm, RIS mounting rail, which allows for the attachment of a wide variety of additional accessories, starting with optical sights and ending up with flashlights. The assault rifle has fixed iron sights: flip-up front and rear sights, attachable to a RIS rail. The replica is equipped with a 15 inch KeyMod handguard that enables the attachment of a wide array of dedicated for that system accessories.
The outer barrel has a 14mm, left-handed thread finish, that allows for the attachment of an outer barrel extension / silencer.
The heart of this replica is a reinforced, slightly modified gearbox v.2, with an integrated EFCS - Electronic Firing Control System module. It controls the operation of the trigger mechanism, allowing for smooth operation and, above all, shortens the motor reaction time to a squeeze of the trigger. A standard connector cube was replaced with an electronic system. EFCS has an in-built MOSFET module.
The replica has been adapted to be compatible with Li-Po 11.1 V batteries. Also, a High-Torque motor has been implemented in the replica, which provides the user with options when it comes to power tuning.
EFCS significantly prolongs the lifetime of the mechanism, thus of the entire replica and allows to use a high-voltage battery, including LiPo. After purchasing an external, dedicated EFCS programmer, the user will gain the ability to set the sequence of fire modes, as well as the burst mode (3-BB fire). The replica is compatible with a programming unit known from Amoeba series.
The replica comes with a hi-cap magazine with a capacity of up to 300 BBs.

Indications v2, v3, v6 does not mean the level of advance, but only shape of gearbox skeleton which was used and selected by the manufacturer depending on the capabilities of the body of the replica. For example, a models of the M4/M16 family, MP5, have a v2 gearbox, while the AK family have gearbox v3.

The length of the replca is measured between the two most distant points of each other. Different models have several of these values, because of its design allows to increase or decrease it length (eg. folding stock or extended flash hider).

Hop-Up system is used for overclocking bb during the shot (putting it in rotation), through which, it extends its flight path. Acting laws of physics make that bb lift up, while the gravitational force take it down. Appropriate adjustment of Hop-Up, will compensate for these two factors, which result in long and straight flight for longer distance and be greater focus shot (to improve accuracy).
Blow back is a simulation system of the cocking lever - it imitates the work of it as the equivalent sharp. This system raises the realism and adds a lot more experience during shooting.
